Fort Ebey State Park is located on Whidbey Island.

It is a public recreation area that is used for hiking, short nature walks, and watching the sunset.

There are also areas for picnicking and parasailing.

I visited this park last summer and did the bluff trail hike.

Many websites say that the trail is one mile, but with the walk from the parking lot to the trailhead, it comes out to about six miles.

The trail was very narrow and not recommended for dogs or small children, as you have to be really careful to stay on the path.

From the top of the trail, you can see the beaches below and the sunset in the North.

The walk from the parking lot to the actual trailhead was about three miles through a grassy field.

There is also a historical site with old buildings from the original Fort Ebey, which attracts tourists.

If you ever visit Whidbey Island, I highly recommend the bluff trail at this state park. The views are incredible and you can see many destinations on both sides of Puget Sound.
