Rattlesnake Lake is a popular destination located just outside North Bend, Washington.
This large lake boasts swimming areas and miles of hiking trails. Camping is not allowed around the lake because it closes at dusk; however, many people still watch the sunset from the top of Rattlesnake Ledge.

This area is very protected– motorized boats, hunting, and fireworks are all prohibited. Because it is a wooded area, interacting with wildlife by touching or feeding them is also not allowed.
The views from the top of Rattlesnake Ledge are very well known. Many celebrities have posted pictures in this location, bringing attention to it.
It’s also not very far from Seattle– only about a 45 minute drive. The proximity to the city makes it an easy day trip.
I highly recommend this location to anyone visiting the Seattle area or who wants to see some beautiful views.
