A few years ago, my family took a trip to Maui.

Maui is known for its beautiful scenery, which includes white sand beaches and stunning rainforests.

One place in particular that stands out for its beauty is the Road to Hana.

The Hana Highway is a 64.4 mile stretch of routes which goes around the coast of east Maui.

When my family visited, it took about three hours to complete the drive. Along the way, we saw locals selling certain foods and saw many beautiful views in nature.

There are many view spots and places to pull over and take photos. There are also entrances to trailheads off of the main highway.

We also drove past a local business called the “Halfway to Hana Stand,” which offers fresh banana bread. This area is known for bananas.

There are many state parks along the road, such as Pua’a Kaa State Wayside Park and Wailua Valley State Park.

The drive was beautiful and definitely a once in a lifetime experience. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the island.

However, the road is very windy; I personally got carsick on the way. I would not recommend doing this drive with small children.

Overall, the Road to Hana offers many beautiful sights that you can’t see anywhere else.
